I was accepted for the 1000 Girls 1000 Futures program by the New York Academy of Sciences. Through this program, I got to meet hundreds of mentees and mentors from across the world, all united by a common interest - a love for STEM.
I was chosen as the mentee of the month for the month of March for my outstanding work, and was also chosen as the winner of the international Girls' Voices Movement video challenge in which we had to 'create a video showcasing the power, presence and perseverance of women in STEM fields.' The prize for both of these was an all expense paid trip to New York to attend the Global STEM Alliance summit, but due to the pandemic everything was held online. My video was showcase at the (virtual) GSA summit.

Apart from creating life-long friendships with girls from countries ranging from Puerto Rico ro Egypt, I started a 'chain of positivity' thread in order to make someone smile and spread some positivity during these difficult times.
